In 2023, we sought your feedback on our plans for the new development that will extend Emerald Cemetery. At a number of community events you told us that you wanted to see a cemetery that:

• Conserves and respects the local environment, including the existing woodlands, endangered wildlife and Indigenous plants.
• Creates an inclusive sanctuary in keeping with the community’s social and cultural values.
• Provides sustainable offerings, such as natural burials.

With your invaluable input, we have updated our masterplan and lodged our planning application with Cardinia Shire Council. With this application now lodged, we’re hoping to break ground on this project in late-2025.
