FAQs
How will this impact local residents?
The new development works are occurring on Cemetery land.
An existing fence that lies between the Melbourne Water land and Northern Memorial Park does not reflect the actual boundary. Therefore, as part of the work, a new fence will be constructed 9.8m from the rear fence of the Andrew Street Residencies in Glenroy. The Andrew Street residents will be contacted directly by GMCT.
How many graves, natural burials and cremation sites will there be?
The second stage of the River Red Gum Precinct will see:
2000+ natural and cremated sites
500+ lawn graves
8000+ monumental graves
